Upon arrival at the Vancouver airport you will be transferred to your downtown hotel (included). The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore Vancouver on your own.
Day 2: Vancouver:
Today is a free day to enjoy the sights of the city on your own. (B)
Day 3: Vancouver Free Day:
Today is another day that you can explore this diverse city and enjoy the various attractions apart from some great shopping that this city has to offer. (B)
Day 4: Victoria Day Trip:
Depart from Vancouver this morning on a driver guided coach tour to Victoria. Cruise across Georgia Strait through the beautiful Gulf Islands with BC Ferries. Arriving on Vancouver Island, tour to Butchart Gardens (Admission included). After lunch (not included) join the whale watching tour. Late afternoon depart Victoria on a scenic float plane to return to Coal Harbour Downtown Vancouver. (B)
Day 5: Vancouver to Jasper (Rail):
This evening, check in at the Pacific Central Station and board the VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the world famous train journey to the majestic Canadian Rockies. The original stainless steel ‘streamliner’ railcars are totally welcoming with air conditioning, a café car, lounge car and acess for all on board to the dome car. (B)
Day 6: Canadian Rockies by dalight onboard via Rail, arrive Jasper late afternoon (Rail):
By the time you awake this morning, the train will have just departed Kamloops to begin a day of travelling towards the Canadian Rockies and Jasper. Enjoy breakfast while surrounded by the dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Around lunch time the ‘Canadian’ begins its passage into the Canadian Rockies with views of snow-capped peaks, Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields. Pass by Mount Robson, which at almost 4000m high is the highest peak in the Rockies. Arrive in Jasper and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 7: Jasper – Evening Wildlife tour:
Today is free to explore Jasper before departing this evening to experience the environs of Jasper & for some amazing close-up photo oppurtunities of wildlife (B)
Day 8: Jasper to Lake Louise (Coach):
Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America – The Icefields Parkway. Time allows for an (included) Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier. This highway is renowned for sightings of bear, elk, moose and mountain sheep – so keep your camera handy.
Day 9: Lake Louise to Banff (Coach):
Depart Lake Louise mid-morning for a short drive via the scenic Bow Valley to Banff, arriving midday (B)
Day 10: Banff:
This morning, tour through the town of Banff and its environs. Enjoy the afternoon at your own leisure. (B)
Day 11: Banff – Calgary (Coach):
This morning is free to explore Banff, before your scheduled coach to Calgary departs midday. This is the ‘cattle ranching country’ and the breakbasket of Canada. Arrive in Calgary airport and take afternoon flight to Toronto (not included). Upon arrival to Toronto transfer (included) to your overnight hotel (B)
Day 12: Toronto Free Day:
Today is free to experience the world renowned sights of Canada’s largest & most diverse city. (B)
Day 13: Niagara Falls Day Tour (Coach):
Enjoy a breath-taking, full-day city tour through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. Visit Table Rock and take a ride on the famous Maid of the Mist (Replaced with Journey Behind Falls Tour of Imax theatre during the winter months- admission included). Relax and enjoy your deluxe buffet lunch at the fabulous Penthouse Restaurant. After lunch, continue down the Scenic Niagara Parkway visiting Floral Clock, Botanical garndens, Queenston Heights, and a stop at the Spanish Aero car observation area. We proceed to historic Niagara-On-The-Lake. Don’t forget your camera! (B,L)
Day 14: Toronto Departure:
Check out from your hotel and take a scheduled transfer (included) to the airport where you disperse with happy memories. (B)
